I agree, anything under 5 I would consider good, 1 is easily "better". However unless its the same price, it wont matter which you choose (go cheaper).

When it comes to monitors advertised response time is not really a method of filtering displays.

There different response times:
Gray to gray - this is usually where the low value comes from and actual response time is higher
color to color - rarely this is used but if found gives a much closer value to real response time


So in truth 1ms vs 5ms GTG response time is kind of irrelevant.
