Motherboard: Asus z87 Pro - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87PRO/

Sound card: built in to the motherboard

Most of my audio activities involve Youtube, Spotify (mostly hiphop), and gaming. I have little experience in buying headphones as these will be my the first pair that are over $30. What I am looking forward in these headphones is sturdy construction, sound that matches the price, and has a detachable cable feature. In a sense, something that can offer a long lifespan with daily use.

Right now the ones I am looking at are:
1) Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones

2) Sennheiser HD 598 Cs

3) Monoprice 8323 Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style

4) Philips SHP9500 HiFi Precision Stereo

Please feel free to offer your two cents or other headphones that you would like to recommend.

I suggest that if you have a chance to actually listen to each of them, then your choice would be obvious. Headphones are such subjective peripherals. Nobody hears the same as anybody else. Pick the pair that sounds the best to you and are the most comfortable for you to wear.
