[SOLVED] Is a 144hz monitor set at 60hz better than a 60hz monitor set at 60hz

Are there any visual differences that would make the image look better because of the difference in hertz.

No. 60hz is 60hz. 144hz is 144hz. There might be OTHER factors, such as the response time (gray to gray), panel type (IPS, TN, VA, etc) or resolution, sync capability (or lack of it) as well as the ACTUAL input lag time, that make a difference, but as far as strictly as far as the refresh rate, if all other things are equal, then a 144hz panel set to 60hz would be no different than a 60hz set to 60hz.
