[SOLVED] Is a 2060S worth the extra 50$?

Should I buy an RTX 2060 or a 2060 Super? Do you think the difference is worth the extra 50 bucks?

I don't really recommend either, unless you really want ray tracing. The 5700xt is typically priced similar to the 2060s, and is faster.

PCI express is backwards compatible. That means that even a 2.0 motherboard can accept a 4.0 GPU. Besides there is no GPU that fully utilises the 3.0 bandwidth if I am not mistaken.

Dotas1 isn't wrong, actually the 2060 Super bounces between the 5700 (non-XT) and the 5700XT in performance.

Is your signature accurate that you're currently rocking at 1660Ti?

That doesn't matter, in this case. Backwards compatible, and not fast enough to fully saturate even a 3.0 x16 slot. Not even the mighty 2080ti can fully saturate a 3.0 x16 slot. I just built a system, with a Ryzen 7 2700x, B450 Aorus Pro wifi, and a 5700xt. It works just fine.
