Question is a 240hz monitor worth it for 180fps gaming?

i am ordering pc parts and have used things such as Pc benchmark and it says i will get a average of 183fps on all low settings and multiple people have told me that my pc will run at least 160fps so im wondering if a 240hz monitor is worth it or to just get a 144hz monitor , Thanks https://www.userbenchmark.com/PCGame/FPS-Estimates-Fortnite/3954/268793.476362.Low.1080p.0

I play CSGO, where people are obsessed with refresh rate and fps. I have also used 240Hz and 144Hz monitors. I would say with certainty that 180 fps would not provide a benefit between 144Hz and 240Hz. In my opinion you need a game with a steady 250-300fps for 240Hz to make a difference.

I will say however that given a price difference <$80, I would get the 240Hz for future proofing over a 144Hz.

For a small price difference, id get the 240hz.

If there was a big difference, id go for the 144hz.

Very little advantage unless you are in the <0.1% of people that are good enough to benefit from it.
