Is a 2x 6 pin to 1x 8 pin adapter safe in my case?

I ordered a GTX 960 that requires 8 pin power cable and in my computer I only have 2x 6 pin. Is it okay to use a 2x 6 pin to 1x 8 pin adapter or will it mess up or make my graphics card unstable?

That will be fine. You could probably even get by with a single 6-pin to 8-pin adapter. But if you've found a 2 x 6-pin to 8-pin, use it.
