Is a 300W Enermax PS enough for my system?

I'm upgrading a system for my friend. Here is what I've got;

Asus A7M266
1700+ Athlon XP
256MB PC2100
Diamond Speedstar POS video (didn't get upgraded)
On-Board sound
20GB 5400 Harddrive (didn't get upgraded)
12x10x24 CDR
300Watt Enermax PS

Will the Powersupply be sufficient?

Yup. If you had a generic power supply, maybe it would be an issue, but that Enermax should be great.

I want to move to space, so I can overclock processors cooled to absolute zero.

I have a similar system and I use a 350w. You can get away with 300 but if you want to add lots of peripherals like me... or upgrade frequently I would go with a 350.

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!

Should be...

I have an XP1800+ (Palamino) in mine with cd-rw, cd, maxtor, nvidia, and the usual array of fans and such. All running off a 300 watt supply, it's stable as a rock.

With that setup 300W will be plenty.

But if you plan to add a new videocard and more HDs/fans/CDROMs then you might want to go for 350W.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on :eek:
