Is a 30cm SATA cable enough to reach a drive in a 900D?

Did you mean Corsair Obsidan 900D case?

Probably only closest drive bays can be reached with 30cm cables.
Furthest ones will require at least 50cm (possibly 70cm) cables.

Yeah you won't reach a CD Drive probably. I think you'd reach the closest two drive bays though. I mean it's tight, and you should probs go for longer ones. But if you only have two drives, 30cm should do the trick.
