Is a 32 gb SSD worth it?

Hi.
I'm planning on getting a cheap and small SSD to go along with my 1tb WD Blue and to use it for Windows 10, Office, Firefox, and any other basic desktop apps. I'm just going to use my 1tb WD Blue for Steam Games. Is 32gbs enough for those things? Or should I get a 64/128gb SSD? Thanks.

32gb is way to small. might aswell install it on a usb at that point. I would suggest much larger, like 256 to be honest, It may cost a bit more, but in the end you will be happier. I know from personal experience, the 64GB for an OS and normal desktop apps, it is enough, But its pushing the edge, and when it gets close to full, it gets much slower, essentially making your ssd perform like a hdd. Also if you want system restore available for it, and if you want all the programs to run smoothly, including anti virus, all that stuff, your going to need more space.

I soon replaced the 64g with a 120, Its much better, but not quite where I want it, I still have to worry about space from time to time especially when im trying to get...

No.
Not even a little bit.

64GB is too small.
120GB is marginal.
250GB is where you want to be.

I have a system with a 32GB SSD (actually eMMC, but same size). An Asus Transformer T100T. It is good for a travel device, with basically nothing but a browser installed.
It would not even run the recent Windows 10 Anniversary Update without a lot of work.

Bottom line - 32GB is an absolute waste of money. Do not do this.

and for games, You wont need an SSD for many games, but the few games that do rely off your read speeds(BATTLEFIELD 4/1) then you WANT it on the ssd. Loading zones goes from 2m30s to 20s-30s. Everything spawns faster, renders faster. Games like GTA also HUGELY benefit from a SSD. but these games are pretty big.

Honestly, do yourself a huge favor, do not make the same mistake I once made, get the 256gb ssd. Do not waste your money on the 64gb.

A lot of people don't realize, but often the biggest bottleneck in a PC is the drives (And internet). A terrible old HDD, will hinder the best rigs in the world down to its crippling low 3mb/s
