Is a 500w power supply enough?

I calculated my pc's total power consumption, which came out around 399w. Would my cooler master 80 plus bronze power supply (at 500w) be enough to run it smoothly? This may seem trivial, but I'm new to this process of compatibility and would prefer not to guess and check. Thank you for your time!

399w probably refers to under load wattage. It should be fine with a 500w PSU.

Whats the specific make and model of the PSU? Cooler master has several "500w" PSUs that can't even deliver 75% of their advertised wattage reliably and could possible damage other hardware.
