I just want to make sure that this will be good: Antec 550W Active PFC Modular 80+ Gold EDG550 PSU
CPU will be a intel i7 6700k and GPU will be MSI GTX 1070 ARMOR (uses same power as the founders edition, and same pin connector)
Thank you.

550W is more than enough for a system with a Skylake CPU and a single 1070, especially when it is GOLD rated like the one you listed, many companies use the Seasonic platform in their high-end PSUs since it is a good platform.
1. All the FE cards are throttling... so any similarities to the FE can not be considered 'a good thing". I have not seen a tear down article on the 1070 armor so do not know how much or even if they do better than the FE cards.

2. The PSU is based upon Seasonic's G platform. Other than this unit, other units built on the same platform include... Seasonic S12G, Antec TruePower Classic, Antec EDGE 550-750, Corsair HX650, Fractal Design Edison M, XFX TS Gold and XFX XTR

You may find one of them to be significantly cheaper than the $89 EDG

XFX TS 550 $69 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3pqdnQ/xfx-power-supply-p1550gts3x
Seasonic M12 620 $69 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nB3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii620bronze
EVGA 550 G2 $72 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y1
XFC TS 650 $70 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/NYyFf7/xfx-power-supply-p1650gts3x
XFX XTR 650 $84 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Rkh9TW/xfx-power-supply-p1550bbefx
Antec HCG 650 $84 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mWphP6/antec-power-supply-hcg620m

Tho ... if it were me, I'd consider the EVGA B2 750 which would allow the addition of a 2nd 1070 soime tiune in the futiure which would extend system life 18-24 months

This PSU was $48 this morning and has had 4 price increases today alone (now $75).

The G2 is only $95, $6 more than the Antec 550 and a much better PSU which will operate quieter, with less heat and more efficiently than a 550.

SeaSonic architecture? Why can other companies use it, then? and unfortunately my local store doesn't have all these options, and I am planning to stay with a single GPU. 500w was the minimum so I went for 550w. Since low power seems like the new thing, I don't expect to need a new PSU for the second next gtx 70 in 4 years. Also, about the throttling thing; I don't imagine everyone who bought FE has their cards throttle? the newegg reviews on this card were good and it doesn't seem to have bottlenecks with some person on youtube running high end games with a i3 and this card.
