So im looking to buy an i7 7700k processor and an GTX 980ti. So my question is, will my 570w PSU be enough to power this setup i have in mind or do i need to buy a new PSU?
Thanks
For the average system 570w won't be enough. The recommended Power Supply Unit requirement for a single GTX 980 Ti is 600W and 980 TI (SLI) is 850W. I have the Zotac GTX 980 Ti Extreme and sometimes you think that you can use less but after overclocking you will be pushing the limit and you will eventually damage your components it happened to me when i was running One single 980 Ti.
Yes, 570w will be plenty. What is the PSU you have? DO make sure it is of good quality - this being the life blood of your system! Ideally, i would suggest (if your budget allows) buying a new, good quality unit.

The current PSU i have is a Gigabyte superb e570, i have been using it for a year now. Thanks for the reply!
I would swap it out, i misjudged the consumption of your card as Andy rightly said. A corsair RM650X would be ample for this single card setup - and a great PSU.
