i mean if i had a more powerful cpu would my gpu stay cooler in not so demanding games such as call of duty ww2 multiplayer ?

also i don't feel good about my computer in total and i wanna upgrade to something that's gonna last for at least 5 years without overheating and such . what do you recommend thanks

a 6600k is defenetly not gonna bottleneck the 1080.

But not upgrading for the next 5 years is such a thing.. You dont have to, but it would be good.

Newer games will make use of more cores instead of the 4 that the 6600k (i think..) has. 5 Years is a long time.
You may be good if you can live with lowered settings in the future. Otherwhise I would take a CPU with more cores (Ryzen e.g).
