So currently i have a 6600k at 4.6 (1.32V) with a custom loop (360 rad) and the last few months i see cpu usage reaching 100% in many games such as BF1, AC Odyssey The division 2...etc. Is it a good idea to drop a 6700k (probably delid it to achieve maximum oc) on my current maximus viii hero ??? OR wait till ryzen become available and swap mobo, cpu, and waterblock???
PC specs:
I5 6600k
asus maximus viii hero
Gskill trident z 16 gb 3200mhz
Vega 56
Currently im on a 1080p 144hz monitor.
Thanks.

Solution
Just save up for a few more weeks, see what the Ryzen 3000 results are, then get a new CPU, and motherboard, be it either Intel or AMD. I wouldn't invest any money into that platform.
all depends on how much you can get a 6700k, a quick search shows it's $250 ~ $300 - about the same price as a 2600x and a b450 board. I would probably choose the latter, and sell off the 6600k & mobo while it still holds some value.

My setup is a 2600x / b450 / 16gb 3200 / 1070ti / 1080p@144hz for pretty much the same reason lol.
