I am trying to figure out if there is some thing wrong with my corsair h100i when I upgraded from a thermaltake nic c5 air cooler to a corsair h100i my temps only went down 6c . is this normal ? or should my temps have went down more ?

Well, double fan aircoolers are normally quite good so ...
You could reseat the h100i to see if that helps, with some arctic mx4 used for instance.Maybe that tampering with the fan profile will do you some good too.
I can understand that with the expense of a h100i you would like to see more gains though.

I have been watching videos on youtube . I watched one video comparing the corsair h105 the noctua nh-d14 and the cooler master 212 evo and the corsair h105 came in last but I don't think the guy had the corsair h105 installed properly . I then watched another video of some one comparing a cooler master 212 evo and a corsair h80i the h80i only beat the cooler master 212 evo by 3c . so I guess my 6c temperature drop is good . regarding me remounting my corsair h100i with arctic mx4 I have my chip delidid using coollaboratory liquid pro and I also applied it in between the hs and the water block . my temperatures are good . I was just concerned about there only being a 6c temperature difference from a cooler that cost $120 and a cooler that cost $55 . but I know now that a 6c temperature drop is not bad
