[SOLVED] Is a 6g sata cable the same as a 6gb sata cable

Hello,

I am installing a new SSD and thought I'd need new cables since I only had a HDD before. Now I see that there is 6G written on the cable I already have and some more stuff, i googled a bunch but to no avail. So is it safe to assume it's a 6gb/s cable to make full use of my ssd or no?

There is no such thing as a 6g cable. There is no spec for anything other then a Sata cable.
If a Sata cable doesn't work at 6g then it never met the Sata spec to begin with.
