Hello folks, this is probably my fith post about the latest problems i've been having with my newly built system.
To begin, here's my specs:
i7 4930K (Bought pre-OC'd @ 4.6Ghz)
Corsair H100i Cooler
CoolerMaster HAF X case
2 x EVGA GTX 780 Ti's
Asus Rampage IV Extreme
16GB Corsair Vengeance
Corsair AX 1200i PSU
2 x Seagate HDD's (1 TB - Games and Misc) (250GB OS)
Also have a Corsair 240GB SSD, which I removed thinking it was the cause of my problems, which it is not...
Anyhow, since i've built this computer I have had nothing but problems, BSOD - usually 0x00000124 Hardware Malfunctions, or my drives couldn't be found, or the system just randomly restarts with no warning whatsoever.
As mentioned above, I bought a pre-clocked bundle from Scan, which included the 4930K @ 4.6GHz, 16GB Vengeance @ 2133MHz, Rampage IV Extreme and t he H100i - Pretty much because I have no experience overclocking myself, plus it was free of charge.
After wiping my drives several times, installing all the necessary drivers and Windows 7, i'm still getting BSODs or restarts, the only thing I think i've manged to fix is the HDD going missing thing.
I've scoured the internet, reading through old posts regarding almost anything I think may have been of use - And I downloaded multiple software - CPU Temp, CPU-Z, EVGA Precision X and about an hour ago I tried OCCT which funny enough gave me a bluescreen after 3 seconds of running it.
This makes me think it's either my overclock, since I was using the OC profile (4.6Ghz & 2133MHz), or my PSU. Do you guys think the AX 1200i is alright for running this setup, or would I need a bigger PSU?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, and sorry for rambling on. 😉
