Is a better PSU worth it?

Recently, I've been looking at a PC build, but I can't seem to make a decision to get an EVGA SuperNova Gold or Evga Bronze, I am told that the Gold will last significantly longer, will save money on the electricity bill, and is better in general.

The issue is, to fit my budget, I have to sacrifice my GTX 970 for a worse one, what do I do?

I can easily see you just typed GTX 970 in part picker and picked the lowest priced one...

I have tried Zotac and so has some of my friends. Mine died in a week while one of my friends over heated and died.... we live in Britain which is rather cold. My current GPU is a MSI GTX 970 4GB, I have had it half a year its dead silent and can near max witcher 3 at 60fp 1080p.

I recommend you go for any of these brands:
-Asus
-Gigabyte
-MSI
-EVGA

Stick with the gold rated PSU and get a fully modular one (all the cables are detachable, helps get rid of unneeded cables )and save for one more month then get one of the other brands GPU's.

Then you'll be practically golden, trust me its worth the wait.

Try this. Rating has nothing to do with quality. The S12II is a bronze but it's very high quality. You need to understand component quality, as of capacitators and ripple suppression etc to determine the quality. Instead of rating. I provided some edits. It's 3 dollars cheaper with a high quality PSU with room for upgrade and overclock. No drive needed. Use a USB to install.

I disagree. Zotac is a great brand and it's also one of the cheapest. The zotac 970 is a good card. I can go against the older EVGA models. The older coolers had coil whine and were loud and bad, though later revisions fixed it. I can trust Zotac easily. Maybe you just had a bad card.

Actually I saw the Zotac on a PC build at the same price, and have read various reviews on it saying it is great for the price.
