Is a CPU cooler very important in a gaming pc ?

basically i am building my first gaming pc and the cpu which i am going to buy is the intel i5 4670.
All i want to know is, is it important for me to get a cpu cooler or do i need to get one as i am on a very tight budget to get the pc finished.

The CPU comes with a stock cooler in the box with is which should keep you i5 cool enough when gaming. Just don't overclock it because if it overheats then you cant send it back unless you didn't overclock it.

As long as you're not using a very cramped case and you don't overclock, the cooler it comes with is fine. If you overclock or run in a small case, then you'd be better off with an aftermarket cooler.

If it's the normal i5 4670 (not the K version) then the stock cooler will be fine.

You could get a cheap cooler if you'd like it to be a little quieter though.

A cooler is important no matter what you are doing on your computer because heat is bad and shortens its life. Now if the question is can you get away with a stock cooler then probably yes.

it's a very low priority for a non-overclocked CPU such as yours.

yes it is not the 'K' version i am going for, i have no need to, but ive looked at the Cooler Master

You don't necessarily need it but it could be a bit quieter than the stock one.
