If a CPU is not important for gaming then ill just buy a GTX 980 with an i5-4440 .

to a certain level, yes, a CPU is important for gaming, and your CPU is well inside that level, so you can pair that CPU with that GPU and it will not bottleneck it. If you didnt buy it yet, go with the i5-4460 a bit faster and with better cooling system.
