Is a cpu upgrade from I5-6600k to I7-7700k worth it? Money is not a problem

I have an Intel Core i5 6600k, gtx 1060 3gb, and 24gb of ram (got 16gb from a friend for free). My cpu constantly hits a load of 100 percent while gaming. Would it be worth upgrading my cpu to an I7-7700k? I just don't know if having the cpu constantly at 100 percent is a good thing. Thanks in advance!

Hitting 100% means your CPU is the bottleneck. If you arent having lag issues I wouldn't worry about it, 100% is fine. It would be more beneficial to wait and get a 6 or 8 core CPU.

Unless you're playing really cpu intensive games I find it surprising that you're hitting 100% paired with a 1060. What games are you playing specifically?

I've had a I7-7700K for a year and a half and I have never bottle-necked on any game (i.e. Doom, Fallout 4 or Skyrim) The 7700K is a great choice if you don't want to spend alot of money. But I agree with the other comments and would invest in the 8700K, its new tech and it is what the 7700K was two years ago.
