I am using SeaTools to check my secondary 2TB HDD because it has been running at 100% every so often even idle. So, It passes SMART, Short Generic, and Short DST, but fails Long Generic. Does this mean anything? The drive is 3 years old and I only use it to put my Steam Games on and to back up documents and pictures.
I think I purchased it cash at Best Buy (I know, forgive me, I was in a rush that day) and I don't have the box or anything for it. Returning or RMA seems close to none. But just because it fails Long Generic but passed the rest, is there room for margin of error, the drive seems to function fine 9/10 times.
Samsung Magician rates my drive: Sequential Read: 21MB/s Sequential Write 77MB/s Random Read IOPS 320 Random Write IOPS 170
Read
Model: Seagate 001-9YN164
Firmware:CC4H
7200RPM
Power-On Hours 8311
Drive Temperature 29C
