This is probably a dumb question but i was wondering if it could use an intel chip. i Currently have a AMD FX-6300 with a gtx 950. I am looking to get the new GTX 1070 and need a cpu that can manage it. i also have a 800 watt PSU which im assuming will work. So can there be a intel chip on the MB and what CPU would you suggest? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Solution
nope, AMD CPUs only work in AMD mobos and intel CPUs only work in intel mobos. You will need to buy a new mobo if you plan to use that CPU.

Do you have any mobo cpu combos to suggest? I am not great with computers. And is there any AMD chips that would work with the 1070? would like to spend around 200 on the cpu is possible

until maybe "Zen" I think all AMD cpus will be bottle necked by but that doesn't mean you won't get better FPS with a 1070 vs your 950, but if your not planning to upgrade your MB/CPU any time soon it maybe better to get a 970 that being said won't really know until some reviews start coming out.

Even if i get something like a FX-9590 it will still bottleneck?? i was reading something and heard of people running a titan on it ad having no problem but i dont know?

Well the problem is the 9590 is not really worth the price (Imho) it would be better to invest in a good cooler and over clock your current CPU again your fine on upgrading. Really if you can get your FX 6300 to 4Ghz then you are fine to upgrade (heck even at 3.5 its not "Bad") with intel i5 you may be able to get a few more min/max frames. It shouldn't stop you from upgrading.
