So this summer i am going to be earning a bit of cash to spend on a new computer, together with that i tough i might upgrade my old benq e2400hd, which is a TN panel.

Now i dont care about fps above 60, so 60 hz is fine for me, so from what i have read it seems that an IPS is the better choice in this situation and i ended up on this one:
http://www.amazon.com/FS2434-BK-23-8-Inch-Screen-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00KQGO77U/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t

my question ends up being, will i see much of a difference? or is the difference only slight?

In my opinion, it's usually better to upgrade other parts of your system before the monitor. For me, image quality, color reproduction, and all that stuff is not as noticeable as bad aliasing or lower resolutions, so I'd take a cheaper TN panel paired with a higher end system over an IPS panel with a lower-end system.

In the end, it's mostly a matter of preference, though. I would also personally choose 120Hz over IPS, just to further showcase the differences in personal preferences 😛

The difference wont be that big since they are both the same resolution and roughly the same response time, and with the price tag on that monitor I would not recommend unless your going 2K or 4K- if you want to see a good change in your monitor visuals wait another year until the new 4K monitors hit the market and then invest in a good one which should be $350-400 and go with IPS when you do upgrate, so basically just wait a little while and go with a monitor with higher resolution, is IPS, and has similar response times
Hope that helps

BENQ XL2430T is way better choice then that EIZO one, though it is TN panel type. If you don't want 144HZ and 1 MS , you can go easily go for Dell s2440L , which is a IPS display and far more cheap than the other monitors (It is cheap , but it performs).
