Is a gtx 1030 suitable?

Hello everybody
Thank you for taking the time to read over this!
I was wondering if I would be able to run a gtx 1030 on my computer or if I should be looking for something smaller or larger. I don’t want to spend too much on upgrading it but I would like to get much higher FPS in games.
My computer
Intel core 2 duo E8400 processor
2gbs ddr2 ram X2
EN9600GT Asia graphics card
240v AC power supply
P5nsli Asus motherboard

What is your specific motherboard?
CPUZ will tell you this.

A GT 1030 works in almost anything, it's only a 33 watt card at most.

You should be fine the 1030 draws much less power than what you have now.

I would question why you are upgrading the videocard. With a dual core CPU and 4gb of system ram, I think your 9600GT is about the most you could use. Is there some specific use you have in mind?

edit: What I mean is, which specific games? There's a difference between CSGO and PUBG.

Scrap that.. no 10XX Card supports Legacy BIOS so it will not work, 700 series Nvidia "730 GT, 750, 750TI" should all work as well as a RX 460 provided you have the power for it.
