Is a GTX 970 oc and a i7-6700k a good match?

I wan't to know if a GTX 970 oc and a i7-6700k would be a good match.

They will work just fin together.

There is always a bottleneck somewhere (I wish no-one had ever badly taught anyone about bottlenecks).

The 970 will manage happily on an i5k therefore the 970 is the bottleneck with an i7 and the i7 will be underutilised.

You would most likely be better off saving some money and going with an i5 6600k setup. Then maybe put the extra money you save into the 1070 instead of the 970
