Is a multi monitor setup required for nvidia 3d?

If I use a single 3d compatible monitor for nvidia 3d vision 2 will that be fine or is a multi monitor setup required?

multiple screens should not be required, you should be able to use 3D with any amount of screens.

No 1 screen is fine. I'm curious as to why do you think you would need multiple monitors to view in 3d?

I was not sure if a multi monitor setup is required because nearly ever 3d setup I have looked at either contained an hdtv or a multi monitor setup.
