Is a Nvidia GTX 750 good for gaming?

Solution
It's a good entry-level GPU. Have you considered the GTX 750 Ti? It's a faster GPU and does not cost much more. Even a GTX 660 can be had for a cheaper price these days and is much better than a GTX 750. Or maybe an R7-260X? There are better options if you can spare a bit more cash.

It's solid, but I'd recommend saving a bit extra for at least a GTX 750 2GB, or a 750 Ti if you can afford it. 1GB is close to becoming not enough for even low settings in triple A titles.

the regular gtx 750 superclocked is very close to the 750ti, but there's not much of a price difference. Either will be nice on a budget to get you started. Just turn off the taxing msaa, it kills fps.

I snagged a gtx 660 cheap recently due to BSOD pointing at AMD driver problems even on a clean install, it's a really nice gpu for not that much money these days. It's on par with the hd 7870, which I tested before, and it got 60 fps constant in bf4 64player conquest on 1080p ultra (no msaa) with my stock i5 3570k, and since the 660 is on par with it, the 660 is no slouch at all.

It's not the best GPU in the world, but if you are on a low budget, it's a decent card. Don't expect to run everything ultra with it though.
