is a quadro card good for gaming?

so i'm gonna buy a quadro card for my workstation computer but how good is a quadro card for gaming?

they are worse then using a gaming card to do cad work. There is a reason they make gaming cards and workstation cards. A best of both worlds would be to get a titan, they seam to bridge the gap between the two.

Short answer: No! Quadro cards are meant for specific workloads and are not meant to game. If you going to render video, CAD, or any modeling program, Quadro will stomp any gtx card (as you probably already know). Nothing stops you from running a gtx card and Quadro in the same rig (I will finish the post once I stop daydreaming)

So to answer your question, they are not that great for gaming.. but it is doable.

thanks, i'll just get the k6000 and no gtx card as gaming isn't quite a high priority and k6000 beats out most geforce cards anyway
