Is a Router with Ethernet more secure than with wireless connection?

For SSID it says: If i hide the SSID, my router will not be visible anymore for other devices in WLAN. So is it ok to activate this option?

Then there is a saftey option:
IP-Filter
MAC Address filter
IGD/UPnP

maybe my router does not have External access function?
