[SOLVED] Is a ryzen 5 2600 good?

Im contemplating whether I should get myself a ryzen 5 2600 for my pc. Currently I have an i3 4160 and a gtx 960. I plan to play games like black ops 4 and destiny 2 on maybe low to medium.

Yes the Ryzen 5 2600 is a great value CPU for gaming or other multi-threaded tasks. It would give you more headroom for those and future games and allow you to upgrade your GPU. You will need a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM. This could all come out to more cost than an i7-4790K and the 4790K performs the same and better than the R5 2600.

I highly recommend this CPU it is very fantastic for its value, It is equivalent or better than a Intel Core I7 7th gen. I7 7th gen is 7% better than this CPU but no performance would be noticeable. I highly getting a B450 motherboard enabling for OC ability or just more features. The Ryzen 5 2600 handles most AAA games very well, However you will need a good Graphics Card with this to get a good performance, I recommend either GTX 1050 ti or higher... Have fun

I would say until the new Ryzen lineup comes out , it's the best value on the CPU market.
