Question Is a Ryzen 5 3550H or Core i5 8300H good for my needs?

I want a laptop for video editing, Aftereffects, blender, Programming etc. Out of the above CPU which is better? Why? By what margin? Is Asus Tuf fx505dt good for my needs?

the i5 8300h is a bit better than the ryzen 3550h, I think about 10-20%.
Both are 4 core cpus, the i7 9750h is a 6 core cpu so if that isnt much more expansive maybe that'll be a good option too.

Realistically, they're quite comparable in overall performance. The Ryzen 5 3550H offers great value/performance for the money, however, the i5 8300H performs better in render based loads like the Adobe product range and has better single and multi-core performance, compared to the Ryzen 5 3550H and even the Ryzen 7 3750H.

Overall, go with the i5 8300H.
