Is a Soundcard worth it?

Hey what's up guys, I just built a new computer for gaming/music production via FL Studio and was thinking about going out tomorrow and looking for a nice sound card since it's boxing day. My question is, am I going to nice a difference when producing? and just listening to music in general? (was looking to drop around $200) thanks guys

If your headphones require the extra power provided by a soundcard or an external DAC/Amp, then yes. Otherwise, you won't notice a difference in sound quality between onboard audio and others.

Like Epitope said unless your headset requires it I wouldn't bother. I would put that money towards a nice Graphics card or SSD.
