Question Is a Threadripper 2990wx a good cpu replacement for digital art and animation

So, question I was gifted a threadripper 2990wx CPU and motherboard from my stepdad to have a powerful workstation to build animations for my upcoming YouTube channel. How would the threadripper CPU plus Asus prime x399 mobo compare to my build below. This would be used with Maya, 3D Studio Max, Toonboom and other digital art – animation software.

Asus Tuff Gaming Wifi II
128GB DDR4 Ram @ 3200mhz
XFX Qick 319 Radeon Rx 6800 (Will upgrade to a RTX 3090)
2 1TB Samsung SSD’s
10TB Hard Drive
1000w RX cosair PSU

I don't have experience with the software you use. Although checking core utilizations of the software, I did not find that they use more than 10 cores. Therefore a faster CPU with 10 cores will perform better from what I see. 5900x would win in these tasks over the older 2990wx. Although, if what I found is incorrect and you can utilize a much higher amount of cores, then it's a different story
