Ok I'll be buliding a new computer in summer. Here's what I plan to get:
Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz
Radeon 9700 Pro
1 GB DDR400
120 GB WD HDD

I liked the A7N8X's integrated sound because I don't plan on spending too much on a sound card anyways. But will it not perform well with an ATI card? Because it's nVidia's board. And does it support hyper-threading? That's one of the main reason I get the P4 3.06 Ghz CPU. And lastly, I was considering between the A7N8X Deluxe and the P4G8X Delux, which is better for my system and which is cheaper?

I MAY be wrong, but I am quite sure that A7N8X is AMD only. Meaning it is socket A and will not work with Pentiums.

Dude what you want is the AMD Athlon 3000 CPU to go with the A7N8X Motherboards. The p4 doesnt work with the A7N8X board at all. And it never will. And hyperthreading at the moment is more hype than anything else at the moment. The performance benefits are negligable at best. And in some cases it is slower. And the Radeon 9700Pro will work just fine with the A7N8X.

Actually, from what I've seen, HT does give a bit of a performance boost. However, I'm still and AMD fanboy in most respects.

As for nVidia, all their chipsets are for AMD only, and looks that way as far into the forseeable future. TS Intel.
