Question Is aegis 2x8 ddr4 3000mhz cl16 compatible with aorus b450 m?

Probably. Sorry, you're not going to get a yes or no answer when it comes to memory compatibility on Ryzen. There are too many variables and too many instances of a given set of sticks works fine on one system but not on another identical system.

You may have to run them at 2933mhz to get them to work with that board, and the CPU model could be a factor as well. But most likely, those sticks will be ok on that motherboard.

Isn't that going to affect the performance of the processor?

A loss of 67mhz? Are you serious? Ok, yes, technically, the memory performance will be less. But it will be like going 99 miles per hour instead of going 105mph. Without looking at the speedometer, you could not possibly tell the difference. Without looking at synthetic benchmarks, you would not possibly be able to tell the difference.

Even then, it would MAYBE be a few points difference on a benchmark. In real world use, you could not possibly feel or know it was any different at 2933mhz than at 3000mhz. It's 67mhz difference.

Yea, i understand what you are saying but everyone says that ryzen cpus need atleast 3000mhz for the ram speed.I thought that 3k is a must and if the ram is not 3k it will drastically affect the performance of the cpu. Thanks for the help.

"Everyone" is wrong.

Ryzen will run fine at even 2133mhz. It just runs "better" with faster memory. Until probably around the middle of last year, most users couldn't even get ANY memory that wasn't B-die to run faster than 2933mhz and depending on the CPU and motherboard combination they have, many STILL can't, even with the latest BIOS updates.

It will not even marginally affect the performance of the CPU and anybody that says different, you can send them here for a reality check. Now, if you had to drop to 2133mhz, rather than running them at 3000mhz, THEN you'd see a significant drop in performance. BUT, they would STILL work. The system would just be a bit slower.

See here. You'll see there is VERY little difference, at all, regardless of memory speed.
