i am thinking of building a PC for gaming, playing games such as Battlefield 4, call of duty, project cars when it is released and Need for speed games.
This is a list of all of the parts i'm thinking of buying and i was wondering if all of the components are compatible or not

MSI Z87- G43 gaming motherboard
Intel I5 4670k 3.4 GHz Haswell CPU
Corsair 750w PSU
Corsair 300r Windowed case
Corsair 8gb DDR3 (2x4 GB)
LG DVD rewiter optical drive
Asus AMD 7850 2gb GPU
1tb WD HDD

this would be my first build so please help by telling me if they are all compatible and also if they are good parts for a gaming PC

First off, it appears as if everything would be compatible, however the PSU you have listed is overkill for that setup. According to here:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

a single 7850 system without overclocking anything only requires ~ 450W PSU. If you plan on overclocking anything (CPU, memory, GPU) then you would want something a little larger. And if you plan on adding a second 7850, you would need ~ 575W without any overclocking. There is a power calculator on the linked page that may help determine your needs. If you change out the PSU, I'd recommend staying with quality brands such as Seasonic, XFX, Corsai (except the CX series) or Antec.

Thanks for the info and I will be getting a corsair 500w PSU and thanks for telling me that they are all compatible

For gaming what would you recommend a gtx 660 or a amd 7850?
