[SOLVED] is an avc cooler better then stock intel cooler

Does anyone have experience with this?

The acv cooler is this one:

i pulled it from an old HP, i was wondering if it would improve cooling for a i7 4770 on an intel stock cooler

google turns up empty for temps/specs on the avc

1. is the new heatsink taller?
2. does the new heatsink have a copper slug in the middle?

If yes to both, then it probably will improve temps slightly. (If not, putting the old one back in isn't difficult)

You'd get a better improvement by spending $30 on an aftermarket cooler, but free is free.

The acv is taller and seems to have a slightly bigger fan - but has no copper middle

the intel stock cooler does have a copper core
