Is an i7 6700k/6700 compatible with my motherboard?

i've been looking to upgrade my pc but I want to know what cpu's are compatible with my motherboard, I am currently looking more towards the i7 so I currently have a i5-6400 and my motherboard is a Lenovo Skybay and was wondering if the i7-6700k/i7-6700 was compatible or whether getting a new motherboard for the i7-7700k is worth it Thanks

Yes, the i7 6700K is 100% compatible with your motherboard, you are using the i5-6400 and they both use the same FCLGA1151 socket. Now for the i7 7700K you need to update your bios but I won't recommend you to do that so stick with the i7 6700K

Lenovo has many boards in the Skybay lineup. We need to know the model of the board. (model number)

General searches indicate compatibility with LGA1151 socket. So you should be ok.

But with a model number, we can be sure.
