I will be purchasing a Core 2 Duo E6300, and an Intel DG965WH as part of an employee purchase program through work. Just wondering if that mobo will support some minor overclocking, and whether or not I would need to grab a better HSF than stock. If someone could enlighten me that would be great!

Intel boards are not meant to be overclocked, except the 975X which is made as an enthusiast board. Intel motherboards are good because they are very stable.

It should be able to. My 945G chipset based Intel board, D945GNTL has only up to 4% overclocking and 2% underclocking, but a BIOS screenie I have seen from G965 based Intel board showed its capable of up to 30%. Intel boards used to be not overclockable, but they are really adding options now. The Intel G965 board had many options as earlier D975XBX motherboard options for overclocking based.
