Is an older Koolance liquid cooler still usable? Exos

I have an older liquid cooling system available.

It's a Koolance Exos

With the proper block, would it be good to cool a modern CPU like a Ryzen 5?

it will work, though i don't think it's worth the hassle.
1. aluminum - you either need aluminum block or really aggressive anti corrosion coolant.
2. 3x80mm fans - not that great performance at a lot of noise.

Does this thing have a built in pump ?

you'd get better performance and lower noise with an air cooler for the price of the decent CPU block

It does have a built in pump. It is just sitting on a shelf doing nothing. Seems so wasteful. The performance is what is most important and if it's not going to be there, it's not worth the trouble.

to cool ryzen 5 for any 24/7 overclock with up to 1.42v (wouldn't recommend more than that) something like Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 would be way more than needed and at low noise.
there are plenty cheaper coolers, though not that great looking.
