First off since Ryzen came out I have pretty much ignored intel, Last intel CPU I worked with hands on was a 7700k. That being said I have some questions.

System in question.
Asrock h570 itx/ac
Enermax 650 Watt Gold Psu
Msi Ventus 3x 3060ti
32gb 2x16 oloy ddr4 3200
CM 212 Black
Metallic Gear Neo Midsized Itx case with 5 fans.

Used for gaming with a Dell 2721DGF 165HZ 1440P monitor. All games are currently played at 1440p 165hz target Avg is 120-165 in the game the person plays.

My real question here is the 10400F Locked in at 4.0 GHZ holding anything back. Is a upgrade to something like a 11600k/11700k worth it, I can score both of these cpu's for about 35% under MSRP via Intel EPP.

I am pretty sure that H570 can't overclock the K series CPU's so are they pretty much pointless. Another idea was to just move to the 11400f to enable the 2nd m.2 drive and gain pcie 4.0 not that it matters much.

Any ideas are welcome.

What not in the budget is to change anything other then the CPU though.

Solution
As you are on a 3060Ti, there is not a 'huge' amount to be gained over more CPU power if you can override the 65W TDP and boost duration limits on your mainboard, effectively running your CPU as slightly underclocked 10600K...

(YOu can do a few comparisons below, but, technically the 10400 should throttle down to 3.2 Ghz or so after a 2 minutes or so to meet TDP constraints, so, if left in that config, the 10600KF or above would be preferable)

Or probably a 12600K/KF + Z690, or if you dont really mind overclock at all, 12400F + B660 motherboard. at the very least you could overclock the ram.

I stated pretty clearly. Only the CPU can be changed in budget. Anyway h570 allows ram overclocking.
