is anyone here going to stick with windows 7 till the end of support

Solution
D
I have never, not even once had an unrecoverable crash with 10 and I've been using it since the week of the first Insider Program release over a year before the public release. 10 is just better. You can turn off all the spyware and install Spybot Anti-beacon and it will track you less than Windows 7.

And as a gamer DX 12 will be important soon.

Can't be fully turned off by settings in Windows. 3rd party programs like this aren't limited by what Windows lets you do.

And my car collects data on me. So does my phone, my DirecTv DVR, my Fire TV, gmail........you name it and it collects your data and I don't even have a Facebook account to worry about. If you use adblock you might notice it blocks some items on this very page. Some items that exist to track you :)

If you use the Spybot Anytbeacon program it kills all tracking. I don't bother with it but I've talked to people who have and it kills all the network traffic associated with the spyware. It's free and it works. Spybot Search and Destroy was the go to antispyware program for many years before Malwarebytes. They're legit.

I hope you don't use Chrome or gmail. Google is even worse than Microsoft

I use gmail and yahoo for a throwaway account. Firefox with adblock plus and Ghostry. That's more so I don't have to deal with ads and social media buttons on every paragraph than any sort of privacy thing for me though. :spamafote:

There are free, secure mail options out there. And you can use a VPN and or Tor if you really want privacy.
