[SOLVED] Is Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 good choice for intel cpu?

Hello guys,

On internet I saw some reviews for this cooling and it provides great result for AMD CPUs such as Ryzen 7 1700 which have lower TDP and temperatures at all. I was curious how this cooling will handle CPU like i5-9600K (both non-oc and oc) or even more futhure i7-9700K/i9-9900K.

Thanks for the fast answare bro, actually I was planning in buying new PC based on 9600K/KF but since 10th gen is coming very soon I think it better to wait and buy 10600K instead. I was worried about this cooling because of it's cheap price and wasn't sure if it can handle such a processors. So if it is great for 9600K, then same apply for the 10600K right?

While it should be ok, more than likely you'll have to wait for an updated bracket. The 10th gen will be a new socket, so mounting may be different.

All the 115x sockets share the same mounting dimensions.

Yeah, looks like you are correct...I had incorrectly assumed they were still a variant of 115x.

So this mean that this cooling could not be mounted on LGA 1200 or for now it is not yet known.

If it's actually a new socket, the manufacturers will make a new mounting kit for it.
If not, then one of the current kits will work - kinda like with LGA 2011 and 2066.

Nice! Good to see them at least using the same socket dimension size to retain cooler support, even if CPU socket and pins will be different...keeps some continuity....at least.
