First of all, I have never heard of a brand called austrum so I would recommend not to go with it. I would go with corsair, cooler master, thermaltake, rosewill, evga etc. Make sure what ever psu you get it is semi or full modular or you will regret it when it comes to cable management like me

Sorry blackbird, I forgot to mention those other companies. Yeah the companies that blackbird said are also really good. If you go with corsair, get the ax or rm series. Let me tell you about modular. A non-modular power supply has all the wires already connected into the power supply and they stay there and you cant get rid of them unless you cut them or something stupid. Non-modular psu's make it really hard to have clean cable managment. Now about modular. There is two types of modular psu's, there is semi and then there is full. Full modular psu's are the best kind of psu's you can get right now in the market. With full, the power connectors come seperate in a pack and are not preattached to the psu like the non modular psu's are. Then with a full modular psu, you only use the wires that you need to use and the rest of the wires that you didn't use, you put them somewhere safe where they wont be lost and you wont forget them. Semi is the same except you need to plan your cable management because you need to route your 8 pin and 24 pin connectors the other way. Here is an article and a video to help you out a bit more http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9566 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm_2RG61hhk If you have any more questions please let me know

Agreed with blackbird, gigabyte isn't really popular with the whole entire psu market. They do have quality gpu, motherboard, etc. but in the psu there are 0!! Blackbird what psu would you recommend. Also sam, could you tell us a budget and all of your parts so me and blackbird can help you
