I'm planning to buy a GT1030 but I don't know if it's compatible and can support my motherboard Asus H81M-D. This is the first graphics card of my CPU. I hope it can support GT1030

Specs:
Processor: Intel i3-4150@3.50Ghz
Mobo: Asus H81M-D
Ram: 2gb ram ddr3
HDD: Seagate 500gb
Monitor: 1600x900
Currently, im using Intel HD graphics

My PC is quietly low and I want to buy a low budget graphics card like GT1030 to run and play games like GTA V in medium settings @720p. And also ill buy a pair of 4gb ram for an upgrade. I need help Thanks.

Yes it's OK PCIE is backward and forward compatible.

It would be OK since that motherboard has a X16 speed gen 2 slot and a UEFI capable BIOS.

Anything less than that can pose a very marginal performance decrease to high end cards (2-5% drop in frame rate) but not to the GTX 1030.
The H81M-D expansion slot is PCIe 2.0 x16 slot while GT1030 PCIe 3.0 Bus Support. Is it ok???
