Is ASUS VX228H-P 21.5" the Best $100 Gaming Monitor?

Before I come to a final decision about ordering a monitor meant for gaming, are there better options than the ASUS VX228H 21.5" at about $100?

What I like about this monitor:
-"80,000,000:1 high contrast ratio and HDMI interfaces"
- 1ms response time
- 1920 x 1080 LED-Lit
- 21 inches

Ignore the dynamic contrast ratios - they're BS and you'll never see them. Look for the static contrast ratio, which is usually <1000:1. Manufacturers no longer seem to advertise these; you'll need to check reviews where someone actually measured it. Can't find one for this display, which is a moderately bad sign.

i'd rather have this one...because it's 23'' so it's a bit bigger and also it's IPS so better monitor technology it will display better colors and wider viewing angles...IMHO it's a much better monitor for about the same price:

Has anyone tried the VX228H? I'm considering to purchase one of those, but couldn't find enough information about real response times or color accuracy.

Now, I have an AOC G2260VWQ6 and, even if I realy like the colours on this one, I'm having some issues, and response times with OD disabled aren't that good (noticeable ghosting). I know you can't get much better in this price range, but I only have space for a 21.5-22" monitor and, as I play a lot of FPS, I wouldn't go IPS.
