When i google ATX or BTX form factor all posts are about desktop computers none about laptops. I am guessing this means that the form factor is only relevant to desktops and not laptops?
Can any experienced or knowledgeable person clarify this for me?

I also wanted to know if there is any way to find out if my laptop motherboard is ATX or BTX. Googling does not help

Thanks!!

There are no form-factor specs for laptop mainboards like there are for desktop ones - - - all the form factor specs you see anywhere (iTX, BTX, ATX etc etc) refer to desktop boards.

Boards for laptops are proprietary, made for the laptop manufacturer according to their requirements.
You can't "shop around" for a new laptop board like you can for a desktop board.
You have have to buy one that was made for your particular laptop make/model.

So to answer your question as per the title - - - it's "yes".
