I wouldn't know about it helping OC'ing, but it will do 2 things for you.
1. It'll let you know how stable your system truly is over longer stints by looping and seeing if it crashes or not.
2. If you're like me and buy OEM processors with a 15 to 30 day warranty to save a few bucks per unit, it'll tax your CPU and if it's going to fail, it'll more than likely arrive dead or within the first few days. So that's where the real benefit lies.
