So I am building a new pc and I want to know if getting 2 Titan XP's will be worth the 2400 dollars. I am having a massive upgrade from Gtx 610, I have the money for it but I don't know if it's reasonable, I also need help choosing an SLI bridge and CPU for the two Titans if I get them, I'm currently having an argument whether to get the i7 6700,6950X or the 7700.

Solution
I you're going to get a Titan, two would give off the charts performance.

I'd recommend only one and a 7700k.

That's way more than enough to do anything nowadays.

I have a single 1080 and its powerful enough to do anything I ask it.
The Titan Pascal has up to ~50% more power than a 1080.

Two would make 4k gaming phenomenal though, if you want to go that far. Get the 7700k unless you're just going to use stock settings, then get a 7700.

To caveat, if you have the money and really want to, the 6950x is amazing. It's insanely expensive and makes the 7700k look like a paperweight, but it's not worth the price tag if you're not either running tons of VMware and servers on your system, or doing extremely laborious cpu processing apps. Professional companies use them as server cores.

If you have tons of money though you can do that. It requires an entirely different motherboard than the 7700k.

No. The GTX 1080 Ti is strongly rumored to be announced this March 10th at Pax East; in 3 weeks. My personal guess is that the street price will be $800 - $900 USD.

With that said, you haven't stated what you're trying to achieve with this build. Resolution, FPS, 2 of 3 games that you plan on playing? If you plan on upgrading then you should state your current specs, and your upgrade budget. Without any additional information from you, I believe that the i7-7700K is the best CPU for this project. You should know that Intel is apparently readying the slightly higher performing the i7-7740K, in response to AMD's Zen. For all I know the CPU will only be clocked 100 or 200 MHz higher, and overclocking potential may be no greater than the i7-7700K. I simply don't know because there isn't a lot of information out there about it yet.

I have become fed up with my 610 cuz it's terrible my max fps on any game is 10 to 20 with a AMD FX 4130 I have had the pc for 2 years and a laptop is better than it, I think it's worth it if you have the cash because the Titan can destroy games with the right CPU and motherboard
